Verizon "See-What-I-See" AR Field Tech Case Study

Augmented reality helps Verizon technicians get up to speed. 

One of Verizon's wireline divisions needed a better way to train new field techs on how to repair equipment. It created a pilot program to train field techs using smart glasses and a partner's augmented reality platform, which provided a "see-what-I-see" view to remote experts who could then guide the technician through the repairs. After completing the program, Verizon learned that the techs felt more confident in doing their jobs and the number of errors made dropped.
